AUG. 7 | Warner Home Video is trumpeting 300 as the best performing high-definition title to date during street week.

Warner's title has sold more than 250,000 on both formats.
Since its July 31 bow, 300 has sold more than 250,000 copies combined on HD DVD and Blu-ray Disc.
The studio last hyped The Departed as the first high-def title to sell more than 100,000 discs.
Overall, Warner is claiming six of the Top 10 selling high-definition titles with 300, The Departed, Superman Returns, Planet Earth—The Complete BBC Series, Batman Begins and Happy Feet.
Also, Warner notes that Planet Earth, priced at $99.98, is the highest revenue generating title in both formats.
By offering most titles in both HD DVD and Blu-ray formats, Warner believes it is able to especially maximize sales.
“300 is an amazing film, and the high-definition sales we are seeing underscores the positive business benefits of supporting both HD DVD and Blu-ray,” said Ron Sanders, Warner Home Video president. “This phenomenal response to 300 is the latest proof that our approach makes the most sense in today’s market and has enabled Warner Home Video to continue to lead the market in high-definition sales.”
Currently, Warner has carved out a 30% market share in high-def disc sales and has rolled out more titles than any other studio.
